Why recycle ?

In Europe, unused fresh concrete accounts for about 3% of the BPE produced annually and 1% for prefabrication.
This quantity of remaining concrete, comes from different sources, for example, concrete not accepted by the customer, surplus after delivery, the remaining concretes glued on the interior walls of the top trucks, the washing of the mixers and other machines of transport and setting artwork.
The costs of landfilling the remains of concrete are high.
Due to limited landfill capacity, prices and distances to landfills are constantly increasing.

In addition, manufacturers are required to upgrade their industrial waste in accordance with the new European directives.
For the concrete industry, this development means a step-by-step transition from the simple landfilling of concrete residues to a treatment system that allows the reuse of closed-circuit components.

Advantages in the BPE as in the PREFA

The washer RE_X based on the principle of flotation, separates the concrete residues of gravel with a cut of 0.25 mm of the washing water (cement and fine elements remaining suspended in water).
The aggregate residues are ejected by means of an ascending vibrating chute and simultaneously allow them to drain. The drip water returns to the washer and a perfect wash of the aggregates is obtained, which can be reused.
The charged water is held in suspension in the agitation tank and can be pumped directly into the mixer for reuse.
The washer RE_X is a fully pre-assembled unit, so that it is sufficient to position it on a concrete and flat surface.
The machine is available in different variants (see table above), so that the dimensions meet each particular need.
In addition, all washing machines can be delivered in "Z" version, that is to say with a paddle wheel attached to the machine.
This makes it possible to pick up minerals and water from the ground level continuously and without wear.
This paddle wheel makes it possible to raise the washing water of the pumps or kneaders in the washing chamber.

The RE_XPRESS filter press separates water from sludge residues.

By this means, patties are obtained with a high concentration of mineral elements, which allow better handling and a consequent drop in landfill costs.
A high-pressure water pump fills the chambers between the press platens.
Under the effect of the pressure through the filter cloths, the water is filtered and flows to the storage tank.
Subsequently, the supply line is rinsed, and the slabs are removed from the rooms. The press is driven by a hydraulic cylinder.
Filter presses can also be used to remove minerals from the loaded water. With this system, ready mix concrete plants can reduce the density of recycle water.

Decantation tower

The treatment system AQUARE_X allows the reprocessing of the loaded waters.

This process is used when the amount of wetting water entering the production is not large enough for the complete reuse of the charged water or the presence of pigments in the water loaded does not allow its reuse in the water. process of fabrication.

The charged water is pumped into the decantation tower via a conduit through which de flocculant is incorporated, if necessary.
The fine elements are deposited in the cone of the silo and can be evacuated through the cone orifice thanks to a solenoid valve controlled by an automaton.
Two scraper arms facilitate this operation by ensuring a perfect emptying.
Sludge can be reused in the plant or treated with a RE_XPRESS filter press to extract the remaining water.
Settling water flows through the top of the silo to a storage tank.

This makes it possible to dispense clarified water to different parts of the plant by means of a booster.
